Holiday Gift Giving

With the holiday season finally upon us, are still looking to shop for the best gifts, even with any restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Office parties and gift giving is a great way to boost company morale and show that a company values its staff. With COVID-19 fears and anxiety, business owners might be wondering if it’s even a good idea to exchange gifts at all. If you’re looking for safe gift ideas to show your employees how much you care, without compromising their safety, then have a look at the following holiday gift ideas.

Gift Cards

Giving gift cards is a great and compact way to express your gratitude and most businesses have this facility. They can be either a prepaid card that has a minimum amount of your choosing or they can be for a specific store. Try a minimum of $25 and if you’re going to use a specific gift card, aim for one that will work for majority of your employees. For example coffee, movies, or technology. But in most cases, a general non-specific gift card is best such as a Visa gift card  especially since no one says no to free money.

Gift Baskets

If you’re looking to switch things up and leave the gift card idea behind, then maybe a gift basket would be ideal. They come in a variety of sizes and styles—it depends on the contents. Gift baskets can be customized depending on the suitability of your employees. It’s up to you if you want to have them assembled in-house with handpicked items or look outward to have a professional handle it.

Tech Gifts/Accessories

No matter how old you get, you’re never too old for technology, especially when it’s new and free! On the off chance that the gift you are giving to a staff member isn’t going to be liked or used much, they can also regift it to someone else who will enjoy it. Aim for tech gifts like wireless earphones, travel chargers, and smartwatches (for the really generous boss-types). Most of these gifts can be cost efficient and still good enough to be appreciated and presentable.

Alcohol

It’s a great way to loosen up and it’s also a great conversation starter, so why not try it out as a holiday gift at work? There are many options to choose from and you don’t have to break the bank. Since alcohol bottles always have an innate classy look, their appearance rarely looks cheap, no matter what the price tag. And if the employee doesn’t drink, then depending on the circumstances, you can give them a separate gift idea or they may be comfortable regifting instead.
